Counselling supervision will ensure that you are addressing the needs of the client and monitor the relationship between you and the client. Supervision will also maximise your therapeutic effectiveness and ensure that ethical standards are adhered to. Our professional counselling supervisors will encourage and facilitate your ongoing self-development, continued learning and self-monitoring.
Counselling supervision is provided for both trainee and professional therapists.
How much supervision do I need?
The minimum requirement of counselling supervision for accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) is one and a half hours individual supervision per month. The amount of supervision should be proportionate in relation to the nature and amount of case-work, for example intensive trauma work or heavy case loads may require more intensive supervision than the minimum 1½ hours each month.
