The Access to Counselling Project is the new volunteer led arm of the psychological health company Lewis Psychology CIC. It is entirely funded by client donations and the generous gift of skill and time from local experts.
The Access to Counselling Project is run by a small team of professional counsellors who are willing to give their time and expertise to provide subsidized counselling services to people on benefits. This enables us to provide valuable psychological health services to people who would otherwise not be able to access professional counselling services.
A volunteer counselling position with Lewis Psychology CIC is recognised as a unique professional opportunity and of considerable value to newly qualified practitioners. We offer induction training, management supervision, clinical supervision and insurance at no cost to the volunteer. Furthermore, we provide a highly supported experience of working with adults with the potential for professional and career development opportunities.
