Counselling Volunteers (Ref: 006)

We are looking for a number of Volunteer Counsellors.

The posts will be held at our Wolverhampton premises.

To apply for one of the posts you will need:

  • A minimum of a level 5 (degree level) qualification in counselling
  • At least 100 hours supervised counselling experience working with adults (over 18 years old)

Our placements run for a minimum of three hours per week and we ask for a commitment of at least six months.  It may also be possible to work more than three hours per week and to continue your placement after a successful six months.

A Volunteer Counselling placement with Lewis Psychology CIC is recognised as a unique professional opportunity and of considerable value to newly qualified practitioners. We offer a three hour induction training workshop, management supervision and insurance at no cost to the volunteer. Furthermore, we provide a highly supported experience of working with adults with the potential for professional and career development opportunities.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal convictions.
